talent ... anyone?

I'm not artistically talented ... music hates me ...  my feet ... arrggg .. never mind  ... my hands can't do anything beautiful ... but I know how to spot a talent ...

One lazy evening, one of our friends showed this guitar boy's youtube video ... the viewers in our living room had strange reactions. I said, "Is that for real?" The OC King cursed and cursed and cursed again. He gave up. He accepted that he will never learn how to play the guitar. The rest of the viewers' jaws just dropped. He was too damn good ... everyone hated him. Well I secretly adored him ... hehehe

He had too many good videos ... I can't seem to pick my favorite ... here are some ...

Christmas is over ... a few more days and it's 2011 ...
Resolutions ...
Everyone makes new year's resolutions and breaks them eventually ...
So I'll make plans ... huh ... what's the difference ...
Someone told me before that plans and goals should be written and, if possible, should be read daily ...
It'll make you stick to that plan .... So I'm posting my plans for 2011 ... please do the reading for me ... I figured the more people reading it ... the more I could stick to it and reach my goals ...

A. Fix myself
1. Got big ass and humongous thighs ... gotta trim those  ... oh ... and my giant belly, too!
2. Fix my to the left ... to the right hair
3. Fix my to the left  ... to the right eyebrows
4. Resuscitate my toenails
5. Clear my effing brain
7. Clear my effing bag
8. Sleep earlier ... not early in the morning ...

B. Fix our house
1. Our desktop table is full of this SH** wires , cables and chargers ... they're sprawling everywhere ... crawling up the monitor... gotta trim those ...
2. Our kitchen's a mess ... need new kitchen stuff ... whoa ... nuf said ...
3. My clothes need to evacuate  from the closet ... hhhhmmmm .... garage sale?
4.The OC KING's motorcycle is in our living room ...  I think it needs to evacuate, too ... but ... arrrggg ... please read this ... 100x everyday .....
5. The OC Princess's stuff is accumulating ... I think they're all evacuating from the department store to our house ... gotta guard our gate ..
6. We need a bed ... oh ... don't get me wrong ... we have a mattress ... no bed frame ...

C. Fix my life

Lazy Xmas

In about 13 hours, it'll be Christmas. I've got dishes to wash, mouth to brush, hair to shampoo and body to cleanse. So what the hell am I doing here...

I feel so lazy ... our bed's not yet made ... our house looks like a dump site desperately needing an incinerator. But, what the heck, it's a holiday! Why do people worry too much on holidays ... especially on Christmas. We fuss too much. This Christmas, I'm going to be lazy. I'll do everything super slow mo ...

Every Christmas,  TV shows and ads, magazines, banners, even social network sites, are full of the Xmas spirit ... messages of love and happiness. Everyone's so busy -- I wonder why. Don't get me wrong -- I'm not the Grinch. I love Christmas and the whole package that comes with it.  My butt's just too heavy to do anything ... I don't know where to start.

I hope greeting everyone with a warm MERRY CHRISTMAS would do. I'm so amazed that no matter how sad the whole year was for someone -- Christmas always makes it a little bit better.

I'm not making any sense -- I guess my brain's connected to my butt ...

I want to write not because I'm good at it but because I'm jealous. I'm envious of people who have the power to express their zaniest ideas into writing ...

Here are some of the writers I'm most envious of ...

1. Sophie Kinsella
Her stories are simple, fun and light. They're easy reads. I don't really have to stress myself out. I'm so amazed at how she can make simple things sound so funny. She manages to express, through her female protagonists, how a woman really thinks and feels. It's good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks strangely. Not that I'm a shopaholic, but I think I'm 80% Rebecca.

2. Jessica Zafra
When it comes to short twisted articles, she's the majesty queen. I remember saving up my allowance just to buy all the TWISTED compilations, which, by the way, are all missing -- paging all my college buddies -- come out, come out wherever you are  ....
I want her brain ... she's a genius ... she writes so effortlessly ...

3. Bo Sanchez
His articles are so cute ... uuuuhhmmmm ... sorry that's the best adjective I can think of. In my previous post, I mentioned about being at a religion crossroad ... but every time I remember his articles,  I think that he is right ... our relationship with the creator ... should be light, free ... like our relationship with our friends .. that simple ... In his articles, he relates God to the simplest everyday tasks he does ... not so grand ... just plain and CUTE ...

4. Pam Pastor
One lazy afternoon, I ended up buying her papercuts compilation instead of getting my toenails done. I didn't regret it. Even though my toenails look horrendous now, I enjoyed her articles. I adore her style. I'm also so happy to know that I'm not the only klutziness queen. I'm so glad to share my throne.

5. Golden
I read her blog accidentally. I was looking for a review on one Baguio restaurant and I stumbled on her blog. Her diary entries aren't mostly resto related. Her blog is mostly about her family and some cosmetics stuff but I hope she does more food tripping adventures 'coz I love how she reviews restaurants. She writes about these restos without pretensions, nothing fancy, just plain old view on what she thinks about them. . Oh, and she's an ukay fan, too. The stingy person that I am, ukay is my haven.

This is it ...
I've made like three unsuccessful, inactive blogs ... and I've said that exact same line ... well  ... uh  ... trice ... promising that ... I'll keep that blog as active as I possibly can  ... well, guess what  ...  I'm bad with promises ...

It's almost 1 am here in the Philippines and well ... it's the 23rd of December ... 2 more days and it's Christmas ... 8 more days and it's 2011.

2011 scares me ... the biggest reason is that ... uhhmmm ... well ... I'm turning 30 that year .... yup ... yup... the big 30 ... I think  ... I haven't really made the most of my 20s so I'm not quite ready yet to leave its comforts ...

Well my plan is to make changes in my life  ... big ... small ... whatever ... I was born on the month of October ... so officially ... I have about 10 months  to change before I finally turn 30 ...

I really want to have an interesting blog that I can be proud of ... so I guess this is the start ... let me reiterate ... I don't quite keep my promises so I won't ... But I'm crossing my fingers that it'll work ...

Before I make changes in my life let me give you some non-juicy little facts about me  ...

1. I'm really freaking out that I'm turning 30 next year.

2. I'm married to an obsessive compulsive, stubborn man whom even if I really hate his character, at the end of the day, when he's sleeping so soundly, I still do find him so adorable.

3. I'm a mother to an obsessive compulsive 4 year old princess, who, like her father, manages to be so charming when she's asleep.

4. I have a regular, decent job with quite a decent salary, a wonderful boss, and lovely colleagues. I love my job, stressful as it is, among all the other strange jobs I've had ... it still is the best. Though I'm worried that since it's just a small company and owned by a foreigner, this dream job might not last that long. So I have a back up plan  but that's another story.

5. I'm a messy bitch. This, among others, appalls the OC king of the house.

6. I'm the queen of klutziness -- which appalls the OC king more and more and more.....

7. I'm in between religions now ... not that I'm morally bad but ... well .... you know ...

8. At age 29 ... I'm not yet a registered voter ... oh .. and so is the OC king ...

9. I also have to get a passport soon... which I badly need just in case someone gives me a ticket to -- (hahaha ... dream on)

10. I'm desperate to travel ... I sometimes find myself reading travel blogs ... checking hotel prices ... checking airfare rates in the Cebu Pacific site... I plan everything ... but that's the end of it ... just plans ... need donations people ...

11. I'm a desperate writer ... did I mention that I teach English ... but ... oh ... well ... basing on how this article is going ... I think I effing suck in writing ...

12. My brain has too many thoughts and if I don't spill it out through writing or talking ... I'll be crazy before I turn 40 ... please prepare my asylum bed ...

13. I'm so sleepy now ... so this is it ... TATA!
